The operations manager is in charge of implementing the company’s operational strategy. Depending on the organization, the scope may be different. In general, he/she coordinates and acts as a link between several departments in order to standardize, produce and deliver services/products according to customer requirements. Also known as Chief Operating Officer (COO), the position can also include the management of business and R&D activities. The operations manager ensures the implementation of the strategy by optimizing operations across all regions, including international operations. They bring their experience and their capacity to rally the company to take a major step forward in the deployment and execution of its business model. He or she will implement methodologies, and human or equipment investments that will provide structure for the medium and long term. The COO also brings an important human dimension to unravel complex situations and help people and organizations grow.
