Ali Kassaï Koupaï brings over 31 years’ experience in engineering, innovation, project and program management. As a member of Renault’s COMEX, he oversaw the reduction of fixed costs and the simplification of the portfolio (-30%). He also initiated the transition to electric technologies and new mobility services.
He spent most of his career at Renault, first in research, then in the design office for 7 years before becoming gearbox Product-Process Project Manager. He then joined the Product Department, focusing on customer research and value creation.
In 2008, he oversaw the Twingo, Clio and Captur vehicle programs, which achieved record profitability (7 billion euros in sales) by 2012. As a member of the COMEX, he manages the reduction of fixed costs while preserving the electrification of the range during a period of crisis.
He joins X-PM in January 2023 to reinforce its expertise in the automotive sector and, more broadly, in mobility issues.
He graduated from INSA Lyon and holds a PhD in rotating machine vibrations, an MBA from Carnegie and training in business creation and corporate governance from INSEAD.
